Flickr Redesigns

It seems everybody and their neighbours favourite photobucket, Flickr, has been redesigned ever so slightly. Upon randomly visiting my photostream, I noticed photo-albums are now right aligned, the photo homepage has two columns of photos, the top menu has been adjusted, and Flickr is now out of beta… It’s now Flickr gamma. Clever.

I also noticed that today. I was viewing a photo one minute and the next minute I was viewing another photo in a different setting. It’s interesting that a user’s icon can now be clicked. It has more purpose than just to identify people.

Your wallpaper set on Flickr refereneces noscope.com/downloads/wallpapers. You might want this to reference http://www.noscope.com/wallpapers/.

I think the new changes are very cool indeed.

Oh you’ve put Adsense on your blog now? Hmm interesting, I’ve been pondering the idea myself, but I’m not entirely sure weather I want to do it yet.

How do you feel about the whole ‘ads ruing personal image’ on a website like this, Joen?

Actually I’ve had Adsense here for a while.

I have no problem with it at all. What’s important to me is that this is fun doing, and so far nearly all aspects of Noscope have been fun doing. To be honest, having a tiny trickle of income (because it’s barely a DVD a month), sort of gives an extra incentive to write well.

Plus, I’ve designed them so that adblock doesn’t mess the layout if you remove them 🙂

Screw tweaking the layout, is my feeling – I want to know why they don’t support video hosting yet.

I don’t think they ever will, YouTube and Google Video does that just fine. I’m pretty sure Flickr will stay focused on their “niche”.
