Reminiscent of the year 2004

A year is a long time. 365 days. 8760 hours. 525600 minutes. And just like a year can be divided into numbers, so can some events.

Here are some numbers, that represent the year 2004, to Noscope.

2004

  • I have made 12 installments á 5 pictures each, totalling 60 pictures.
  • This brings the total to number of installments to 45, and the total number of individual installments pictures to 225.
  • Out of these, I have released 17 layered tiff files.
  • The compressed source files for these installments, take up 1,37 gigabytes.
  • I’ve taken 17 photo sets containing in all 417 + 23 + 85 + 17 + 92 + 121 + 241 + 68 + 59 + 106 + 420 + 99 + 220 + 399 + 66 + 28 + 51 = 2512 pictures.
  • These pictures take up 1.95 gigabytes of data.
  • Out of this came 7 online photoalbums, containing in total 8 + 30 + 44 + 25 + 21 + 17 + 15 = 160 photos. That’s approximately 6% of the total pictures taken.
  • Noscope grew to a total of 450 entries.
  • Out of these 450 entries, 295 were sidenotes. That leaves 155 entries filed in 19 other categories.
  • 26 were filed in “Politics“.
  • The number of comments on Noscope grew to 1,051.
  • 152 of those comments were left on topics filed in “Politics”.
  • The 5 most commented articles were Favatars, About WordPress, Usability and Open Source Development, The Cost of War, Iraq – You Break It, You Buy it and Migrating from Internet Explorer to Firefox.
  • Noscope jumped from Pagerank 4 to 5.

  1. I’d say you’d had a pretty good year Joen. Well done.

  2. Joen says:

    Thank Jonathan,

Although I did notice I had made a rather embarrassing miscalculation. Somehow I’d managed to write 450 (or 540!?) individual installments pictures in total, which is of course only 225. I must have somehow sneaked in a factor 2 somewhere…

  3. Tristan says:

Congratulations on a great year! I’ve certainly enjoyed reading and seeing all of your work, and I’m not stopping anytime soon. Happy new year.

  4. Joen says:

Thanks Tristan, Happy New Year to you too!
