The Aqua Path

Kate, a.k.a. n-heptane, a.k.a. “Melusine” has released her new album entitled The Aqua Path.

I bought it the second day it was on sale, and was sad to discover I wasn’t the first to buy it :).

I really like what Kate has done here, and I would like to recommend it to anyone who likes ambient music. Many of the tracks have been featured along with issues here on noscope, some are new. If you’re still not convinced, listen to some of the tracks at her website, or simply buy it immediately.

The tracks “Sea glass” and “Gelid” alone make up a great album. More than this, it is a victory for independent creativity. Neither Kate nor I do this for money—we do it for the love of our work. We’ve both worked hard these last years, creating pieces every month. No big record companies involved, no massive marketing. For that alone, it is worth supporting.

So buy 60 minutes of ambience for 14$ so she can get her precious Mac Titanium and make some more music.
